Our Forest School curriculum is designed to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and enriching outdoor learning experience that supports the personal development of every learner. Our intent is to combine the principles of forest school and school curriculum to foster resilience, promote social and emotional development, and cultivate a strong sense of self and community.
Learning activities prioritise SEMH needs whilst promoting progressive childhood development and experiential learning. Through social interactions and the development of life skills, pupils are exposed to cultural capital activities that are devised to increase a greater appreciation of the environment and access to nature.
Pupils will follow a graduated programme which increases their exposure to freedom and supported risks in a safe environment, whilst fostering the key themes of resilience, social and emotional development, nurture and personal growth. Our Forest School is a journey of discovery, connection, and growth that helps students thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
