Careers Provision

Reach Academy is dedicated to raising aspirations, challenging stereotypes and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. We are committed to delivering an aspirational, personalised careers programme to all our pupils, working towards the Gatesby Career Benchmarks. Reach Academy is committed to our duty to provide students with impartial and inspirational Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to students. The impact of our program is tracked and measured via the Compass tracking tool.

Pupils have the opportunity to meet with local learning and training providers. We provide exciting lessons across the curriculum informing students of careers and future pathways, as well as targeted interventions and meaningful experiences.

Tracking and Evaluation Arrangements

When pupils arrive at Reach Academy, a request is put in to their previous school to access any individual careers records. Reach Academy will keep systematic records of careers experience which will be passed on to their next placement for continuity. Reach Academy uses the Compass Tool to track its progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks. The Careers Leader has responsibility for completing the Compass Tool on a termly basis and uses this data to identify areas for further development.
