The PSHE curriculum at Reach Academy aims to provide all pupils with the skills, values and knowledge to become healthy, independent, and responsible members of society. It aims to help them understand how they are developing personally, socially, emotionally and tackles many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up and exist within wider society. Our curriculum meets the statutory requirements of relationships and sex education and physical health and mental wellbeing. Our pupils are encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community. We are ambitious for our pupils and seek to raise their aspirations through new experiences, skills and knowledge that enrich lives and broadens horizons which enables pupils to find, and be proud of, who they are.
